We are excited by the upcoming events and seminars. As there is limited space, it is best to sign up early! Unless otherwise indicated all events take place at The Cookbook Store and tickets can be purchased by calling the store. Unless, of course, it's a free event in which just come!
If you would like us to organize your own in store event/seminar we would be happy to work with you to tailor a class for your family and friends.

Knife Skills
Tuesday May 11th - SOLD OUT!
These ever popular classes are back. Hands on instruction from Chef Martin Kouprie co-owner of Pangaea restaurant. Scared of knives, not sure of proper technique? No matter the skill level this hands on evening at The Cookbook Store, will leave you feeling far more sure of yourself when it comes to knife use. So bring your favourite kitchen knife and Chef Kouprie will guide you through a hands on demo of knife skills. Cutting board will be provided and all the fruits and vegetables for chopping. You will be taking home a chopping board and a Victorinox paring knife. Tickets: $15. Start time is 7 pm. Space is limited, sign up in advance required. Join us as Ted brings brings his rig to the store and dishes up the latest in gourmet burgers!
The newest addition to the Napoleon Grilling family of cookbooks is on game with Ted Reader's mouthwatering buger recipes. A compendium of everything burger, Ted walks you through - from choosing your proteins, binders and seasonings, to grilling. Then join us as two of Toronto's most talented stylists show you tricks of their trade and tell their hilarious stories of working as a food stylist. Sandra Watson has worked on Food Network shows as well as with many renowned local and international authors. Ettie Shuken new it was time to switch careers when as an art teacher she described all paints in food terms... lemon yellow, chocolate brown, borscht and sour cream pink! Ettie works with corporate clients as well as magazines, so this dynamic duo brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from all facets of the food world for those looking to spruce up their food presentation skills or those just curious about the world of food styling.
