Butter Lentils
Serves 2 - 4 Preparation Time: 5 minutes, Cooking Time: 12 minutes
Heat the butter in a saucepan, put in the onions and garlic and fry for 6 minutes until the onions have browned. Add the garam masala, salt, turmeric, chilli powder, cumin and coriander and fry for a minute. Tip in the lentils, then add 125mL / 5fl oz water and cook for 5 minutes. Take the pan off the heat, stir in the cream, and serve with pita bread. |
