Quick, simple, and delicious, this drink has the intense summer flavour of strawberries and basil.

Serves 1

Plenty of ice
Double shot of vodka
8 strawberries
6 basil leaves
Splash of cranberry juice (optional)

Put the ice, vodka, strawberries, and basil in a cocktail shaker and shake for quite a while to pulverize the fruit and herb and release their flavours. To decrease the sweetness slightly, add a splash of cranberry juice.

Strain into a martini glass.
